“Temporary offsite” locations were extra road-test sites opened in 2022 to clear the test backlog. Centres without G2 figures for 2022 are not listed.

What these numbers mean

  • The G2 test is the first road test in Ontario's graduated licensing system. It's the "city" test you take after holding a G1 licence.
  • A pass rate is the share of G2 road tests at that centre that ended in a pass. It covers everyone tested there, so it can't predict your own result.
  • The Auditor General found that rural and suburban centres often have less complex routes and higher pass rates, but new drivers from Brampton who tested outside the city went on to have more collisions. Pick the centre that's practical for you, and prepare for the roads you'll actually drive on.
  • These are 2022 results, the latest published for each centre. Rates can change from year to year.
