Local tips
Stratford's centre is at 59 Lorne Avenue East, Unit 3, a short distance east of the Erie Street lights, and Service Canada is in the building next door. Map data shows surface parking lots right beside the building. The front door is not automatic, so if you use a mobility aid, call ahead and ask about access. Lorne Avenue is a two-lane road, but the Erie Street intersection is busy, and Erie Street widens to four lanes. Stratford has a lot of rail crossings: the CN line crosses Lorne Avenue West about 600 m away and Erie Street a little further on, so practice scanning and stopping at railway crossings. There is also a roundabout at Packham Road and Wright Boulevard if you want to practice yielding on entry. The office is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
