Terms
Terms of use
Canada Drive Test Routes is a free guide to help learner drivers prepare for their road test. By using the site, you agree to these terms.
Last updated: November 2, 2026.
1. Information for preparation only
Everything on this site is general information to help you prepare. It isn't legal advice or official guidance. Rules, fees, office locations and opening hours can change at any time. Where anything on this site differs from your testing body's website, your appointment confirmation or the law, those official sources take priority.
2. Practice routes
Our practice routes are sample routes we've built to help you get familiar with the roads around each test centre. Your examiner decides the route on test day and may use different roads. Following a practice route doesn't guarantee any result.
3. Drive safely and legally
You're responsible for driving safely and within the law at all times. In particular:
- always obey traffic laws, road signs, signals and road conditions, which take priority over any directions on this site
- only drive with a valid licence, and follow your learner's or novice licence rules, including having a qualified supervising driver with you where required
- don't read this site or use a phone while driving; let a passenger read directions, or study the route before you set off
- if a route directs you somewhere that's closed, unsafe or not allowed, don't follow it, and please let us know
4. Accuracy
We check centre details against official sources and show the date each page was last checked, but we can't guarantee everything is complete, accurate or current. Map-based details, such as distances, nearby hazards and parking, come from OpenStreetMap data and are approximate. The site is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Canada Drive Test Routes isn't liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. That includes a missed or failed test, fees, traffic tickets, collisions, or damage to people or property.
6. Independent site
Canada Drive Test Routes is independent. We're not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for DriveTest, ICBC, SGI, Manitoba Public Insurance, Service New Brunswick, Access Nova Scotia, any Alberta registry agent, or any government body. Their names are used only to identify them, and any trademarks belong to their owners.
7. Links to other websites
We link to official and other third-party websites for your convenience. We don't control those websites and aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Using our content
You're welcome to use the site for your own, non-commercial preparation and to share links to our pages. Please don't copy, republish or sell our content, route directions or maps, or collect them in bulk with automated tools, without our written permission. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence, and route maps use Mapbox.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
