Local tips
Since June 8, 2026, the Brampton DriveTest Centre has been inside Shoppers World Mall at 499 Main Street South, Unit 064, at the corner of Main Street and Steeles Avenue. DriveTest tells visitors to use the west entrance, so head for that side of the mall rather than wandering in through the stores. Map data shows large customer parking lots around the mall, but it's a busy shopping centre, so allow extra time to park and walk in. The surrounding roads are big and busy. Main Street South (Hurontario Street south of Steeles) and Steeles Avenue West both widen to as many as six lanes with 60–70 km/h limits, and the signalized intersection where they meet is right beside the mall. There are more traffic lights close by at Charolais Boulevard and at the Shoppers World Plaza entrance. Practice lane changes, shoulder checks and protected left turns before test day. William G. Davis Senior Public School and Bishop Francis Allen Catholic School are about 600 metres away.
