Local tips
The Hamilton centre is at 370 Kenora Avenue North in Stoney Creek, a short way north of Barton Street East. Before you even reach the main roads, Kenora Avenue crosses a railway line about 200 m from the building. Practice approaching level crossings slowly, looking both ways and leaving room so you never stop on the tracks. Nash Road North has another crossing. Barton Street East has signals at Kenora Avenue, Nash Road North and Centennial Parkway North, so you can practice protected left turns and right turns on red. The QEW and Red Hill Valley Parkway ramps are within about a kilometre, so practice merging onto and exiting a freeway if you are preparing for a G test. Map data shows customer parking right beside the building. Inside services open at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays, and road tests run Monday to Saturday. Another nearby DriveTest centre is in Burlington.
