Local tips
Kenora's DriveTest office is inside the Kenora Shoppers Mall at 534 Park Street, Unit 2B, close to Park Street and 6th Avenue South. According to DriveTest and Northwest Health Line it opens Tuesday to Friday only, 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m., so there is no Monday service and a lunch break in the middle of the day. Map data shows a roundabout right beside the mall where Park Street meets 5th Avenue South and 1st Street South, plus a run of roundabouts on Highway 17 (Main Street South, Veterans Drive and Lakeview Drive) about half a kilometre away, so it is worth practicing yielding and lane choice at roundabouts before test day. Downtown streets such as 2nd Street South have traffic signals, and King George VI Public School is nearby. Parking lots surround the mall. If you need another centre, Dryden and Fort Frances are the closest part-time centres.
